Obituary for Ronald VanDam

Ronald VanDam, 85, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport.
Ronald was born in Michigan on November 7, 1933 to the late Eldred and Lydia (Agusta) VanDam.
Ronald was a graduate of Muskegon Senior High School and had worked for Shawbox Crane Hoist as a machinist. He was a member of Gentryville United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Ronald is preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy and Wesley VanDam.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Joanne VanDam, whom he married on August 23, 1955; his son, Jeff VanDam, and his wife, Lisa Coin, of Rockport; daughters, Linda VanDam and her spouse, Elke Garder, of Arizona, Patricia Tice and her husband, Mark, of Michigan, several grandchildren, forty seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren; brothers, David VanDam and his wife, Debra, of Michigan, Gary VanDam, and his wife, Roslie, of South Carolina; sister, Pamela Hall of Michigan.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Gentryville United Methodist Church on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Charlotte Lee officiating. Visitation will take place from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
