Obituary for John Scott Phelps

Scott Phelps, 55, passed away on October 17, 2018 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Scott was born in Owensboro, KY on December 23, 1962 to the late John Phelps and JoLena (Kitchen) Dawson.
Scott was a graduate of South Spencer High School and was self-employed as a landscaper. He was a member of Rockport Church of the Nazarene and American Legion Post 254. Scott was a loving, caring, great father and loved to make others laugh.
Scott is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Phelps.
Scott is survived by his son, William Phelps of Owensboro; grandchild Cameron Phelps of Owensboro; sister, Mary Poole and her husband, Brent, of Rockport; several nieces and nephews.
Services are 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with Pastor Brett Cieslack officiating. Burial will follow in Hackleman Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the funeral home.
