Calvin (C.T.) Grubb passed away peacefully on November 29, 2018 at the age of 94.
C.T. was born on November 3, 1924 to Ivan and Gladys Grubb in Huntsville, KY.
C.T. was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps aboard the troop transport USS Admiral Coontz in the Pacific theatre. He returned home to join his father as a farmer and moved to Chrisney, IN. There, his family created the Chrisney Baptist Church as charter members along with others.
In 1970, C.T. became the Chrisney Postmaster, a position he held for 22 years until he retired in 1992.
C.T. is survived by his wife, Wanda Faye, of 67 years; son Michael (Laurie); daughter Donna (Paul) Wyatt; three grandchildren, John (Brandy) Wyatt, Julie (Curtis) Brabender, and David (Julia) Grubb; sister Bobby Jean Smith; and two great grandchildren.
C.T. is preceded in death by sisters Jewel Grubb, Nelladean Woods, and Grace Harper.
A celebration of life will take place at 3:00 P.M., on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Chrisney Baptist Church, with Reverend Rodney Gasaway, officiating.
