Obituary for William J. Alvey

WILLIAM J. BILL ALVEY ROCKPORT. William J. Alvey passed away on December 24, 2017. William was born on November 8, 1935 to the late Robert and Eunice (Grant) Alvey. William was a member of Lincoln Hills Baptist Church in Rockport, He worked and retired from Laborers Local 561 of Evansville, he enjoyed working in his garden, growing great tomatoes, also tending to his chickens and cutting firewood. William is preceded in death by his parents, son, James Alvey, brothers; Charlie and Richard Alvey, sisters; Betty Miller and Shirley Hoosier, one grandson, Timothy Alvey. William is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Mosley) Alvey, four sons; Bill Alvey and his wife Pam of Rockport, Robert Keith Alvey and his wife Diann of Rockport, Tony Alvey and his wife Stephanie of Chrisney, Daniel Alvey and Charlie of Rockport, daughter, Patsy Stephens of Rockport, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, one brother, Robert Alvey and his wife Janet of Rockport. Funeral Services will be 1 P.M. Thursday December 28, 2017 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, with Bro. Adon England officiating. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday December 27, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Friends unable to attend may send a condolence to the family at www.BoultinghouseFuneralHome.com
