GRANDVIEW, IN – Kenneth “Kenny” “Pops” Byron Gibbs, 53, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
Kenny was born May 4, 1965 to the late Jimmy and Doris (Brown) Gibbs at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
Kenny attended Larkin Baptist Church and was an avid music lover, loved to watch television, especially the Andy Griffith show, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping in his younger days and most of all loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Gary and Bobby Gibbs.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Rachel (Hagy) Gibbs of Grandview, IN; sons, Frank Hagy of Grandview, IN and Robert Kayse Jones and his wife (Maria “Max”) of Owensboro, KY; brothers, Brian Gibbs and his wife Darla of Rockport, IN, Dwayne Gibbs of Reo, IN, and Tracy Gibbs and his wife Misty of Grandview, IN; 14 grandchildren, Corey, Evan, Adalyne, Harper, Jasmine, Tyler, Skyler, Pierce, Issac, Rose, Raven, Eric, Garrett, and Gage; his loving dear friend, Bonnie Perry and nieces Teressa Smith of Grandview, Ashley Motteler of Rockport, IN, Jennifer Johnson of Reo, IN, Beth Mohler of TN, and Crystal Billow of Grandview, IN; nephews, Zachary Gibbs, Cody Hoosier, Sister and brother in law, Shannon and Kenny Hoosier.
Services will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family and/or The Agent Orange Foundation.
