Obituary for Julia Haines

Julia M. (Skelton) Haines, 88, passed away on August 11, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
Julia was born on January 23, 1929 in Rockport, to the late Louis Skelton Sr. and Eva (Hisong) Skelton.
Julia was a homemaker. She loved to play bingo and Uno at Woodland Golden Living Nursing Home. She was a big supporter of the Rockport Fire Department. When her dad was chief, she served coffee to all of the firemen during fires.
Julia is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Yandle Haines, who passed away in October 1999; her brothers, Louis Skelton Jr. and Bill Skelton.
Julia is survived by her sons, Dennis J. Haines and his wife, Rosie, of Rockport and Thomas Haines and his wife, Kim, of Evansville; grandchildren, Leisa Haines, Missy Goffinet, Lori Hinson, Jeff Haines, and Jason Haines; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Cullen Skelton and his wife, Sue, of San Antonio, TX and Tom Skelton and his wife, Coleen, of Fort Branch; nieces and nephews.
Services will take place at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport with pastors Steve Mead and Carl Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the funeral home.
A special thank you to St. Vincent Hospital, Woodlands Nursing Home and her special friend, Peggy Frobeter.
