Obituary for Juanita Rae Carpenter

Juanita Rae (Nix) Carpenter, 93, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Rae was born on August 9, 1924 in Spencer County to the late Stella and Roy Nix. She was a cook at Midway School and later owned Midway Market.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter 'H' of 70 years, a daughter, Stephanie Faye; 2 sisters, Opal Myler and Marjorie Carpenter and two brothers, Eugene and Howard Nix.
Surviving are one daughter, Connie Lynam of Reo; one grandson Darren Lynam (Stacey) of Henderson, KY; two granddaughters Denise Harris (Randy) of Petersburg, and Derika Spaetti (Jonathan) of Evansville; four great granddaughters, Lauren Spainhoward, Ashton Lynam, and Jayla and Jenna Harris and two great grandsons Alex Spainhoward and Brooks Lynam.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home - Youngblood Chapel in Chrisney at 2pm. Reverend Walter Phillps will officiate. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Reo.
Friends may visit from 12 until time of service at the funeral home in Chrisney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Christian Center (Reo).
