Obituary for Betty Windham

LAMAR, IN – Betty Windham, 95, passed away on August 27, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rockport.
Betty was born in Denver, CO on October 25, 1922 to the late Howard and Sarah (Long) Altenburg.
Betty graduated high school in Holbrook, AZ in 1940. She was also a waitress in Showlow, AZ for over 10 years. She was a member of Chrisney Baptist Church and enjoyed horseback riding, swimming, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Windham; brothers, Donald Rice and Carl Sargent.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Darlene Mosby and her husband, Robert, of Rockport; grandchildren, Bob Mosby Jr. and his wife, Michelle, Bill Mosby and his wife, Rita, Jim Mosby and his wife, Tami, Troy Mosby and his wife, Sharon, Elizabeth Knox and her husband, Kevin, Scott Mosby and his wife, Samantha; 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Chrisney Baptist Church in Chrisney, IN, with Pastors Tom Brown and Rusty Keltener officiating. Burial will follow in Little Pigeon Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Friday, August 31, 2018 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, Youngblood Chapel in Chrisney, and from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
