2020 Enduring Service Award

The Lauer Family

The Boultinghouse Funeral Home Enduring Service Award for 2020 goes to Danny and Carol Lauer of the former Lauer's Floral & Gift Shop. Although they have retired, they have left a legacy behind that began in 1950 when Danny's grandpa bought the shop.

In 1954, Earl and Wanda Lauer, Danny's parents, took over after Earl got out of the service. Carol started working at the shop in 1975. She and Danny were married in 1976, and have raised two wonderful children.

Danny and Carol took over the family business in 1997 and put in many hard hours making beautiful flower arrangements for weddings, funerals, holidays, and everything in-between. Their skill and commitment to floral arranging and our community did not go unnoticed.

In 2020, they sold the family business so that they could retire and relocate. They are dearly missed in our community and we are so thankful to call them our friends.
